VARK

VARK

I have completed a vark questionnaire, vark has these questionnaires to find out which is the best way for different people to learn. My total amount for visual was a 7, visual learning is learning through flowcharts, pictures, poster, slide show etc. Text books with diagram and different colour text are also visual teaching techniques help visual learners to process the information. As I have scored a 7 which is quiet high I can process a lot through these techniques. Being a visual learning knowing this information means that when I’m in a lecture I should use diagrams and replace words with initials and symbols. I will have the information I need for my exams. But I will need to practice turning my drawings back into words, recalling the image I’ve done me practicing this will help me to do well in my exam.

I also got a 7 in aural; aural is learning through conversations and discussions, the best way for an aural person to learn is through discussions. So as I am also an aural person I should attend lessons, tutorials an all discussions. In lectures using a recorder would help my education and leaving space in my notes for later recall and filling in. I should also reduce my notes so it’s easier to learn, my notes could be quiet poor so I will have to gather them from text books and other people. I should re-read my notes out loud and summaries them to allow them to sink in properly. The will all help me revise for the exam, when I am in the exam I should imagine I was talking to the examiner when doing it. I should also speak my ideas in my head and find a quiet place to recall my ideas.

I am like 60% of the population who have multiple learning styles these are the best ways for me to learning so a good combination of these two styles would be the best study techniques for me.
